This design introduces a new method to organize activities at a bus terminal in a simpler, clearer and more human-friendly way.  The proposed solution is based on shifting bus and passenger circulation to two different levels.

1- A bus approaches the terminal dropping off arriving passengers at arrival gates linked to the main spine of the building.

2- Then, it continues through the platform beneath the terminal towards the waiting gates located on the other end of the terminal to pick up departing passengers. During this process, the bus proceeds in a linear direction without engaging in any maneuver or changing its way, which results in a simple and effortless circulation.

The swap box is an optical illusion device which deceives the observer by partially replacing the real image with the virtual complement depending on the observer’s point of view. The observer sees the red boxes placed randomly in the bottom container. The image gets partially replaced by green boxes. The observer changes perspective, goes around the box and looks in different angles but the image fits still perfectly. Objects in concern remain the same in sizes whereas the colour on the top keeps changing. This deception is produced by the mirror placed at the center, equally distanced from the two sets of geometrically symmetrical objects, whose top faces are colored with red (bottom) and green (top). The top geometries are blocked by the container facing downwards hiding them from the viewer. The mirror is in the exact center thus assuring the perfect fit of the geometries (including the structure of the system and the containers which adds realism to the deception). The strong illusion derives from changing the colors but retaining the geometry: the color of complementing image is virtual but its geometry is real.

We generally use bottled water in our homes (Turkey). It is difficult to carry a 19-liter water bottle. The “Bottled Water Carrier” helps us carry the bottle with little effort without having to lift it. The “Bottled Water Carrier” is a light and easy-to-use apparatus made from bended metal profile and moves on four wheels. The device enables enables to put the bottle over the device without lifting it. The only thing you need to do is to mount the top of the device on the neck of the bottle and tilt the bottle slightly. Then, the wheeled carrier frame slides under the bottle until it settles. When the bottle is brought back to the upright position, it will be ready to be carried on four wheels wherever desired.

PERSONAL PROJECT - COMPETITION - 2010

L&I is a wooden toy, designed for children aged 3-6 to improve their cognitive skills as well as their hand and eye coordination. A child tries to create a configuration with the cubes that have L- and I-shaped holes which create a path to be completed without any logic errors or discontinuity... Then, the child tests this configuration by sending a ball through one end and starts tilting the toy to make it travel through this path. When the child makes the ball exit the other end he/she accomplishes the challenge. The logic of the path is confirmed.
